Finding a Hobby

OK..so I decided to find a hobby to help me not go crazy. I really miss working and would love to find a part time job in my field and have something I love to do and get out a little bit!! But I am coming up blank!!! So I decided to get a sewing machine and start a new hobby!! The only sewing classes around here are during the day so I am trying to teach my self and let's just say....This is what I have learned so far........


  • After spending almost 3o mins (with Tim) trying to thread the needle... I find out it has an automatic threader

  • When getting a package that says everything you need to sew this bag is in the package....it does not include thread

  • OHHHH the back of the pattern is how you figure out how much fabric you need!!!

  • When sewing you have to sew it inside out...yes I did learn this the hard way
  • If the pattern says Cut on a fold...I actually have to fold the fabric....oh this is sooo much fun!!

So let's just say this is a long, long, long process. I'll get it at some point!! I hope or you might see a sewing machine for sale soon!!!

    When are the sewing classes...can you take them during her preschool next year? Do you know if they have any quilting classes?

    I could probably take them next year if they are still doing it. Yes the do have quilting classes...I'd actually like to try that. Hancock Fabrics has them too!!
